Afterwards

What's your name, he said ?
With laughter and disdain
He didn't answer immediatly
the outcome would be decided
nor by blood or treachery
but by conviction and pride
It was a game of hide and seek
Where you had to disguise your trick
Pretend you're stronger
and never show how pitifull your anger makes you look
Don't let the other read you like a book
be a strong and true opponent
Don't be different from who he pretends to be
Your name doesn't matter
Neither does what you actually did
but how pitiful you can make anyone feel
You can't disguise who you are
Your scars are written on your sleave
With anger and sadness you leave
You'll laught at oneanother
When you both ignore everything about each other
It's all about pretending
but never about being

From the road

Thinking about what he had done in the train
He wondered if it wasn't all in vain
Spread your arms like wings
And look at what it brings
No more friends to call
No life to cry on
Without a name, he no longer felt any guilt
If you don't play, you can't loose
But if you ignore the rules
Nobody will know when it's your day
Without a time to shine
Or another to call mine
When he realised what disease he had become
he looked at himself in the mirror
and he was pleased to realise where once stood a man
there was now an empty seat and nobody to blame
